Bachelor of Hotel Management
Eligibility
The candidate seeking admission to the First year BHM Degree course must have passed the Pre-University (Class XII of 10+2) Examination or its equivalent with an aggregate of 45% marks. A minimum of 40% is sufficient for SC / ST students.

1. Duration of the Programme
The programme
of study for the B.H.M. Degree extends over a period of
four academic years in a college maintained by or affiliated
to Mangalore University.
2. Medium
The medium of instruction and examination in the subjects of the B.H.M. programme is English.
3. Attendance
A candidate is considered to have satisfied the requirement of attendance for the year if he attends not less than 75% of the number of classes actually held up to the end of the year in each of the subjects computed for theory and practical separately.
4. Internal Assessment
Internal assessment marks in theory paper are based on three tests and assignment conducted during each year. In the case of practical the assessment marks are based on the performance in the respective classes which includes grooming, punctuality, journal and practical work.
5. Industrial Practicum
12 weeks duration compulsory training in a Hotel/ Restaurant/ Bakery/ Food related Industry. Focus of the Practicum is on the understanding of industry operations, supervision and management function
